Jordy Kool steps aside as CEO of Infotheek Group
Leiden, the Netherlands, November 23rd 2017 – The Board of Directors of Infotheek Group today announced that Jordy Kool has tendered his resignation as Chief Executive Officer, effective pending the start of a new CEO. Jordy will remain as significant shareholder and board member of the Group.
“Being convinced that new phases of successful organizations come with different types of leaders, I planned to step aside at a certain moment in time”, says Jordy Kool, who started at Infotheek Group in 2009. “I decided to advance the date after several recent events in my personal life. This has made me realize I want to spend more time with my family and other personal initiatives.” Stefan Linder, chairman of the board and partner at Altor: “Under Jordy’s leadership Infotheek Group has grown from 55 million to 750 million euro and is well positioned for a very bright future. While Jordy is transitioning as CEO, he will remain active in the company.” The board of directors has, with the support from Jordy Kool, begun the search for a new CEO.
About Jordy Kool
Jordy Kool, alumnus of Harvard, IMD and RSM Business School, started at Infotheek Group in 2009. Prior to that he has held different Sales and Senior Management positions in the Telecom, IT and Media sectors at companies like KPN, UPC, Hewlett-Packard and Reed Elsevier. Jordy is owner of multiple companies and holds various non-executive board member roles. Jordy’s career and interests are strongly connected with leading organizations, accompanying changes and reorganizations, developing and extending new activities, as well as coaching young high potentials. Being strongly convinced of ‘a life long learning’, Jordy is proud member of the IMD Advisory Council. In 2015 Jordy won the Ernst & Young ‘Accelerating Entrepreneur of the Year’ Award as well as Computable’s ‘CEO of the Year’ Award. Kool is founder of IT4Kids. This charity foundation, considering sports as an important means to foster the development and potential of children, enables children who live below the poverty line to participate in sports.
